We start selling BeagleBone cape for LCD with LVDS interface

Finally, we finished with all tests and are ready to present our new LCD cape for BeagleBone.

We will sell it as a separate assembled PCB ($34.99) to connect to any of your LCD with LVDS interface, and also as a plug-and-play bundle ($134.99) with our 10″ 1024×600 LCD with capacitive touchscreen and ambient light sensor. Here is photo of bundle in action:

    can i drive a New Haven Display 2.4 inch TFT lcd (with ILI9340 driver IC – http://www.newhavendisplay.com/nhd24240320sfctxif1-p-3976.html) with this cape? Thank you

    1024×600 is not avaible in default kerner image of beaglebone, can you give every body some demo image with 1024×600 resolution?

    Andy, I’m unable to get the display working with the latest Angstrom image. I know that the image is booting because I can log in over ethernet, but I don’t see anything on the LCD (1280×800… it has the black frame). The backlight does come on however. Is there something I’m missing?

    SN75LVDS83 has significantly lower max. PLL frequency. So, you should check with your LCD datasheet if this will work in your case.

    There are no secrets, its open-source. All schematics are available in Support/Sources section.

    This LCD has 68.9 MHZ pixel frequency (see page 11 of its datasheet: SN75LVDS83 has max. freq. 68 MHz, pretty close, so there are chances that it will work.
